You may be familiar with NASCAR driver Joey Gase’s passion to educate the community about organ, eye, and tissue donation. This weekend Gase is partnering with Donate Life Virginia to continue his passion as he heads to Richmond, Virginia for a Friday night showdown at Richmond Raceway. This will be the 6th year Gase has partnered with DLV when he has traveled to the area. “I’m excited to have Donate Life Virginia on board with us again this weekend. They are a great partner of ours but most importantly they do a GREAT job of raising awareness for donation and honoring all of those affected by it,” said Gase.
This weekend you will find a special passenger on Gase’s XFINITY ride, AJ Janosko. AJ was a proud husband and father of two boys. He tragically passed away at the age of 45 after falling and hitting his head while vacationing in Florida. He made the courageous decision to donate his organs which ultimately saved the lives of five individuals. AJ’s picture will be placed on the TV panel of Gase’s NASCAR XFINITY Series #35 this weekend. The Janosko family will also join Joey and his Go Green Racing team at the track Friday evening for the Go Bowling 250.
