•In 2022, Joey formed a NASCAR XFINITY Series called Emerling-Gase Motorsports with Patrick Emerling
•In 2023, Emerling-Gase Motorsports grew from a 1 car team to running 2 cars full time. Joey also got the team’s first top 10 FINISH of 9th at Talladega Superspeedway
•Outside of his racing talents, Joey is very well known in the NASCAR world for his work promoting organ, eye, and tissue donation, and honoring donors and donor families. In the fall of 2015, at the NASCAR XFINITY Series banquet, Joey was the Inaugural COMCAST Community Champion of the year for his work with donor families, those on the waitlist, and recipients! Joey is passionate about organ donation because in April of 2011 Joey lost his mother to a brain aneurysm. Joey and his family chose donation which helped save and improve the lives of 66 people!
