“I am very excited to be teaming up with Patrick on this new adventure,” said Gase. “We both share the same vision and goals for the future, and we are both true racers at heart. The other cool thing is that we will be two of the youngest owners in the sport, but still have a lot of experience and knowledge to go with that.”

“It was interesting how this team came about as Joey and I had the same goals of starting a NASCAR XFINITY Series team,” said Emerling. “We combined our equipment to field a competitive car full time, and I am very excited to see what the future holds for Emerling-Gase Motorsports”.

The driver line up will consist of Emerling, Gase, Shane Lee, and others that will be announced at a later date.

Joey Gase to drive for JGR in the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 2022

Did we get your attention?! In 2022, Joey Gase will have a new ride with a brand new NASCAR XFINITY Series team, Joey Gase Racing!

“I am extremely excited to start a new chapter in my career and life,” said Gase. “To not only be a driver, but also a team owner, this is something I have been thinking about a lot the last few years. When I asked other team owners and mentors I expected to get a lot of push back saying not to, but to my surprise I got a lot of the opposite. I have learned a lot the past 10 years and have worked with a lot of great people from Jimmy Means, Bobby Dotter, Carl Long, Archie St. Hilaire and Rick Ware. They have all taught me a ton and have helped me every step of the way. It is not going to be easy by any means but I have a big support team behind me with my family and friends.”

Gase made his start in the NASCAR XFINITY Series at the young age of 18 at his home track of Iowa Speedway, where he finished 20th. Soon after he went on to drive full time from 2014-2019 and then part time in 2020 and 2021 when he moved up to the NASCAR Cup Series. Gase then has a career best finish of 5th in the XFINITY Series.

“In 2021, we made two starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series with a car that I owned myself,” said Gase. Our second start was the fall Talladega race where we finished 15th and ran in the top 10 the majority of the third stage.  I am extremely proud of how we ran that day and have to give a big shout out to Rick Bourgeois for putting the car together and setting it up. We also want to thank Jimmy Means and Tim Brown for making it possible and getting the car to/from the track and taking care of the car at the track. Also a huge thanks to Sparks Energy for sponsoring us that weekend.”

The team currently has 5 cars and bought the remaining cars and equipment of H2 Motorsports from Shane Lee. The plan is for the team to run full time with Rick Bourgeois as the General Manager. Gase will drive the #35 car most of the season and plans to continue driving part time in the Cup Series.
Joey Gase Racing is currently hiring all positions and seeking qualified drivers.

The team’s sponsors will be announced at a later date and are also seeking new sponsors.

This weekend, for the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, one car holds very special meaning. The images and/or names of 5 local organ donor heroes will adorn Joey Gase’s Nevada Donor Network car. In 2011, Gase’s mother, Mary, died of a brain aneurysm and helped save and heal the lives of 66 people as an organ, eye and tissue donor. Nevada Donor Network and Gase have partnered together since 2013 to promote the gift of life and health through donation by honoring local heroes and their courageous families each time he races at LVMS. Below is the list of our incredible honorees.

Several Hand Prints of Hope with messages written by families of heroic donors will also be displayed on Gase’s vehicle, including, but not limited to:

Bridgette Laney’s tribute reads “Life isn’t forever, but we can help others live longer!”

These special honoree tributes and messages of hope are intended to inspire Nevadans to say
‘YES’ to registering as an organ, eye and tissue donor. We all have the power to bring hope to the nearly 600 Nevadans and over 100,000 Americans in need of a lifesaving organ transplant. Visit www.nvdonor.org to learn more and register as a hero today.

“I am so thankful to Nevada Donor Network for teaming up with us this weekend so we can not only race, but, more importantly, raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation and honor all of these incredible heroes,” said Gase.

For more information about interview opportunities before, during and after the race, please contact Halley Metcalfe / The Ferraro Group / Cell: 702-969-9004 or JoeyGasePR@gmail.com

NASCAR driver Joey Gase has partnered with Tennessee Donor Services (TDS) and Donor Alliance to drive home the need for more people to register as organ and tissue donors. Joey will drive the TDS #BeTheGift #15 Car in the Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, June 20th.

Additionally, Joey’s #15 Tennessee Donor Services car will honor recipients and donors with “Hands for Hope.” This Friday from 2:00-4:00pm CT at the TriStar Skyline Medical Center, those who have been affected by organ donation and/or are registered donors, will get the chance to participate in a Hand Prints of Hope Event. With the event, individuals have the opportunity to place their Hand Print of Hope on Gase’s #15 Tennessee Donor Services car and write a message of Hope. In addition, those who were not able to be at the event in person sent in their Hand Prints and messages of Hope virtually. These will be placed on the car during the event as well.

“Hand Prints of Hope events are something we have been doing for a couple of years now but I am very excited to say this is the first in person event we have been able to do since COVID,” said Gase. “These events are so cool in so many different ways. It gets so many different people from the community involved, plus it can be a very emotionally and healing time for those closely involved. The other great thing is that seeing Hand Prints all over a race car is very unique, so the car draws in a ton of attention at the track. The fans and media ask why we have Hand Prints all over the car which leads us to be able to tell the importance of organ donation and honor all of those affected it by it.”

Over 107,000 people are on the national organ transplant waiting list and over 3,000 of those are on the Tennessee organ transplant waiting list. Along with the “Hands for Hope”, Joey’s # 15 car prominently displays the BeTheGiftToday.com registry website which allows fans to easily register as an organ and tissue donor. By registering to #BeTheGift, we can increase the chance that lives will be saved.

Driver Joey Gase has been an advocate for organ donation since the death of his mother, who died suddenly of a brain aneurysm in 2011, just after his 18th birthday. Joey and his family made the life-saving decision to donate her organs and he made a personal vow to educate the public on the importance of organ and tissue donation to give someone a second chance at life.

All are welcome to attend the event this Friday and we hope to see you all there!

ProMaster and Hawkeye Downs Speedway will team up with Gase for the eNASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series Race at the Bristol Dirt Track

3/24/2021

The first race of the eNASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series will take place at the Bristol Dirt Track on Wednesday night March 24th and will be live on Fox Sports 1. This marks the return of the league that became popular during NASCAR’s pause last spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This event is the kickoff for a 10-race series in 2021 that includes the first five races on FOX Sports and second five races on NBC Sports.

Gase is proud to be teaming up with ProMaster Home Repair & Handyman of Cincinnati for the 5th consecutive year. “I am really excited to be teaming up with ProMaster once again,” said Gase. “ProMaster is based in Cincinnati and does work in the Cincinnati and surrounding area. With no races at Kentucky Speedway this season, I was nervous that we would not be able to team up this year. When I reached out to Don, Owner of ProMaster, about this opportunity he said yes right away and could not have been happier to keep this partnership going.”

Gase is also very excited to be teaming up with Hawkeye Downs Speedway, the track Gase grew up watching his dad race at every Friday night and where Gase first made a name for himself. Gase continues to race at Hawkeye Downs at least once a year while putting on a charity race for Iowa Donor Network and raising awareness for organ donation. “Some of my best memories come from watching my dad race at Hawkeye Downs and then later myself racing go karts, modifieds and late models,” said Gase. “Hawkeye Downs is where I fell in love with racing and where I was first able to make a name for myself being the youngest track champion in the late model class at the age of 16. It is one of the best asphalt tracks in my opinion. I don’t think there are many local tracks in the Midwest that can say there are currently two drivers in NASCAR that used to race at their track weekly (Joey Gase & Landon Cassill). Hawkeye Downs is the only asphalt track in Iowa besides Iowa Speedway and very proud of that!”

Hawkeye Downs kicks off their season with First Enduro on Saturday, April 10th and their weekly racing season opens May 7th. Special events include the Big 8 Late Model Series on June 4th, Midwest Truck Series & Dash Series on June 12th and Bandit Big Rig Semi Series on July 10th.

ATLANTA – March 17, 2021 – Joey Gase is committed to honoring organ and tissue donors through his platform as a NASCAR driver because of his personal connection to organ and tissue donation. Following his mother’s death in 2011 from a sudden brain aneurysm, Gase made the decision to donate her organs, eyes and tissues, which ultimately touched the lives of 66 individuals in desperate need of a transplant.  Since then, Gase has become as passionate about donation as he is about racing.  In 2015, he was awarded NASCAR’s inaugural COMCAST Community Outreach Award for his work supporting organ, eye and tissue donation and donor families. Rick Ware Racing is excited that Gase will pilot the No. 53 entry in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.

The COVID-19 pandemic altered Donate Life Georgia’s plans to host an in-person event and meet & greet with Gase, but supporters of organ and tissue donation were able to participate in a virtual Handprints of Hope celebration during the month of March. Messages of hope and gratitude were placed on 133 handprints that will adorn Gase’s car for Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

“Sharing my mother’s story has really helped to get past my grief,” says Gase.  “To know that mom’s still living out there in different ways.” And by featuring message of hope and gratitude from local transplant recipients and donor families when he races, Joey puts a face on donation that Georgians can relate to.

Every year, thousands of lives are saved by organ and tissue donations In Georgia; more than 4,400 people are waiting for a transplant that will save their life. Each designation matters, every person who documents their decision to save lives in Georgia could one day save eight lives, and improve dozens more.

More than 107,000 people are waiting for a life-saving transplant in the United States today. Nationally, organ donation provides the gift of life to more than 30,000 each year through heart, kidney, lung, liver, pancreas or intestine transplants, and hundreds of thousands more are helped through life-enhancing tissue transplants.  Because of the generosity of organ donors, thousands of people are able to spend more time with family and friends.

To register as an organ and tissue donor visit www.DonateLifeGeorgia.org, say yes when receiving or renewing your driver’s license or when obtaining your hunting, fishing or trapping license through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
